Gabriele Ruiu ready for STK1000 Challenge
Young Italian makes the switch to Pedercini Racing for 2018
Beginning to prepare for the start of the European Superstock 1000 Championship season, Pedercini Racing have announced Gabriele Ruiu is set to make his debut in the category on board the ZX-10RR.
Competing in four STK1000 races in 2017, the young Italian narrowly missed out on a points scoring finish but will have gained the all important experience needed in the highly competitive class. With a four season long history competing in the CEV and CIV Championships, Ruiu has had plenty of experience in the racing world.
Ruiu is delighted at his new signing ahead of the start of the season: "I am happy to be in a championship where I feel more competitive, and with a strong bike. I know that this championship is hard fought, so it will be important for me to understand the bike as soon as possible. I've already got a relationship and plan with the team, so I think we can do a great job in the next season."
